The Pradhancharya and the birthday boy honoured the patriot Veer Savarkar by lighting a lamp. Smt. Sai Roja CHG spoke about Veer Savarkar, a freedom fighter, writer and reformer born on May 28, 1883. He formed the Mitra Mela, wrote the first freedom struggle of 1857 and was in Cellular Jail for 11 years.
